It is wonderful to welcome back the Manchester International Festival with many live events across the city for the next two weeks.
The Festival showcases original works in all cultural spheres from music and dance to film, art and spoken word.
This year it began with an outburst of colour and energy in front of our offices on Deansgate with the street blocked off for Sea Change, a dance work by French choreographer Boris Charmatz that included 150 local residents.
The live staging of some events for the bi-annual festival is another sign that the city is getting back to normality in a Covid safe way with people respectful of each other and organisers keen to keep people safe. Many of the works are free and can be spotted while walking through the city – like a giant Big Ben lying down in Piccadilly Gardens,
The coffee shops and the restaurants are busy, the shops are open and art galleries and museums have re-opened their doors.
It is also lovely to be able to welcome customers back into our offices, meet them face to face and help them find thir perfect city centre home whether to buy or to rent. Its best to make an appointment but if you are passing and we are free we are happy to help.
